Well, I'm here. I am now a resident of the city of Ottawa. I'm in my new apartment, barren as it is without the rest of the furniture. I have a whole pile of things to deal with and negotiate - today I need to get the gym membership, the cell phone and the library card taken care of. Awww, poor kitties! :( I'm sure they'll adjust and get back to being happy kitties again soon. Hang in there!

As for the pigeons... hmm, yeah, ethics problem. If it were me, I'd leave them where they are. I mean, it would be interesting - you could take pics of the baby bird's progress of hatching out of their eggs, growing up and flying away!

Though perhaps your presence in the apartment will frighten the mother bird away. At the very least they might be entertaining for your cats, or even food for your cats. ;)

They're much better now. they like to jump on the windowledge and Tyche likes to watch the pigeons, but I think she's scared of 'em otherwise. Poor kitty!

The egg and the nest are gone. I mean, there was an ethical quandary, yes, but I read my paper in the morning on the balcony. I need this. :-) (At least, I did; my orientation starts at 7:30 tomorrow so I doubt I get paper time anymore)
