The only thing I have to say today is this:

There is no joy so bittersweet as reconnecting with an old friend you've lost track of just days before you leave town for at least a half a decade.

Today's my last day in Ottawa for now; it'll be about a month before I come back for good. I have to come up with a way to return that results in me being able to bring my bike immediately, because the trails through the National Capital region are like paved crack. Today's day two of my apartment search in Ottawa. It's run the range - I've seen some nice placs, I've seen some shitholes, and I saw one place where the lobby was plastered with pictures of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
