Name: Sanara Maria Rosier Sinistra

Blood Status: What? Hmm, oh yeah, pureblood (at least fourth generation).
Physical Characteristics: Of average height and weight, slightly stocky build. Brown hair, to mid-shoulder usually worn in a braid. She sometimes wears it out, since Tom taught her the charm. Hazel eyes. When she makes an effort she can look pretty, and usually looks sweet. Never striking, at all.
Brief description of character's personality: Reserved and nervous. Sanara is studious to make up for a lack of intuition, and reluctance to trust her intuition. She is able to draw connections between seemingly unrelated things, and when she knows something she’s eager to share it, eager to say something that will be remembered. She likes to help, and be useful and mature. But she is also sometimes tired of her (self imposed) responsibilities.
Sexual Orientation: She doesn’t know what this question means. She has always preferred the company of other witches to wizards, but fancies herself attracted to the wizards she genuinely loves as friends. Particularly Alphard, and to a lesser extent Tom. She’s gay, and she work it out eventually, but she’s not ever comfortable in situations where it’s an issue.
Political Affiliations: Sanara has no political affiliations, but I can tell you her political beliefs. She believes that, for their own betterment, the Muggle and wizarding worlds should be kept separate. She is fascinated by Muggle approaches to and ideas of magic. Sanara understands (most of) the issues raised by the existence of Muggleborn wizards and sometimes thinks it would be better if it didn’t happen. Her concerns about Muggleborns is about their social assimiliation, and nothing about the idea of bloodpurity.
Family:
Father: Augustus Sinistra (Slytherin) works as an Unspeakable. His family left Italy in 1861, fleeing the unification.
Mother: Margaret Mary Rosier (Slytherin). Sanara’s mother was a skilled arithmancer, and conducted research in that field, she was also a keen flier. She is currently bedridden and not always lucid. (No closer than fourth cousin to the Rosier on the Black family tree.)
Brother: Edward Rosier Sinistra. He is eight years younger than Sanara, and his birth in part caused their mother’s illness. She doesn’t blame him for this, but fears their father might.
There’s also Mrs Hooper, who is their housekeeper, and eventually Augustus’s mistress.

Friends/Acquaintances: Sanara gets on well enough with the other Slytherins in her year: Veronica Smethley, Madeline Warbeck, Septimus Prince and Matthew Avery. She is good friends with Olive, Minerva, Tom, Elizabeth Prewett and Alphard. She also had a Muggle friend, Evelyn, with whom she was at school.
Enemies: None, really. She manages to avoid people and make little enough of an impression to make enemies. Myrtle hates Sanara because of her friendship with Olive and Tom.
Relationships: Sanara’s a little jealous of Tom and Minerva relationship, although she’s never clear exactly why. She Olive form something of a relationship at the end of their fifth year, which develops through their sixth. Each expects to eventually marry a wizard, but it ends up being everything for Sanara.
Plans for After Hogwarts: Sanara is going to become a healer and find out what it wrong with her mother. She is going to look after Eddie, make her peace with Mrs Hooper and spend time with Olive. She’s going to tell her father her plans.
Prefect/Head Girl/Boy: Prefect, and a pretty good one. Not Head Girl.
Clubs: Never a member of the Quidditch team, because her father doesn’t like her to fly. Not a member of the Slug Club, and a little disappointed about that. Founding member of a history re-enactment club.
