Ship hurtled through hyperspace. Part of her vast mind was busy calculating vectors for her jump to normal space in the next few minutes. But the greater portion was busy keeping in contact with her partner...trying to make sense of what she was seeing through him. It had been a fascinating three days, living almost in doubled time as he spent ( Read more... )

Amanda's eyes are taking in everything that they can. Orienting themselves the best they can to this new place.

Having not been prepared this time for the voice inside her head she stumbled backwards taking only a moment to reorient herself. Smiling all the while. With a curtsy, "Thank you. Are you Ship?" she doesn't know the polite response to such a greeting so she goes with what she does know.

Yes, Ranger-partner, starwalker...

"And my personal little nag," the Ranger breaks in with a twinkle in his eye. There is a blip of mock indignation that Amanda can easily feel herself.

Find larger door-portal-gate. Much seen-to see there.

"I hardly controlled my visit, Ship. But I'll see what I can do to bring you along next time."

The room itself hardly looks like any type of control room. The green-blue walls are sinuously curved. At one end is a large window looking out on the red-tinged morass of hyperspace. No control panels. No chairs even.

Well, not at first. As the Ranger leads Amanda deeper into the room, two portions of floor seem to swell up into hillocks. Cavities sink into their sides for sitting.

"She is headstrong at times...but she is a very good friend," he says. "We should be making the jump to normal space soon. And then the fun will really begin."

Amanda curtsies, "It's a pleasure to meet you."

"What are friends for?, right Ship" Amanda teases the Ranger.

She figures that the connection that Ship and Seggio have is how they communicate. After all control panels are realy just a pilots way of communicating with the ship or plane or what ever.

Amanda takes a seat, "Thank you." she isn't really sure who to thank so it's directed sat both of them.

The Ranger chuckles.

"Once we make the jump, it will be another 20 mintues before we reach orbit distance from the planet," he says. "I'll take advantage of that to inform the Rangers of your presence. I would not be in the least suprised if we had some ships come to meet us at that point. I fear this is somewhat unprecidented."
