This makes me so fucking angry it is hard to breathe. A woman bled to death on the floor of an emergency room waiting room. Hospital workers ignored her. Yes, this is upsetting and unsettling... but have you ever watched ER? I know that's not real-life but emergency rooms are busy all the time! They work on a health priority basis. They'll do an initial assessment to see how severe the situation is and either treat them or move to someone who has it worse. It's not like these people were sitting on their asses playing computer solitaire while this woman bled out in the waiting room.

vomiting blood, bleeding out. so severe that the average bystander could tell what was going on. I'm not saying I could work in that environment, or that we should expect perfection. But they let a woman die. Someone, several people even, need to pay for this.

I saw that earlier today, and I didn't know what to think. It almost doesn't seem real.

I agree with everything you said. And while this was a horrible horrible thing to happen, I hope it opens doors into fixing what's wrong with the current system.

Also, going off of my mom's health insurance is the #1 thing I'm afraid of when I graduate. I shouldn't have to be so afraid of such things.

The hospital was named, Martin Luther King Jr.-Harbor Hospital, what a suprise! Better not name anything that isn't a trashy as shit after a civil rights leader, white people might be offended coz he's black.
