I'm very much intrigued by Shane but was sad to see no Nate in this chapter.

I think you mean capice instead of ka-peesh?

Ah yes; plenty of Nate coming up. For some reason it just didn't fit in this one. Or maybe I'm lazy... hm... we'll just go with it not fitting, okay?

And I see you managed to insert Nate after all! Good job, even though I have no idea what that was all about. lol

Shane's behavior is starting to make a little more sense to him, at least where Jake is concerned. But wow, what a spoiled brat he is! Where did it come from? I'm starting to figure out where Nate's fears evolved from, but I can't imagine what has made Shane so selfish and bratty. I'm very very curious to learn more about him, even as I hate him. lol

Sorry I'm later with this than I meant to be! Turns out I have to do all my interneting in the morning otherwise my day is consumed with writing.

I really enjoyed this chapter! I think it's been the best one so far! Your characterization, especially with the Brown and Shane dynamic and the Brown and Nate dynamic was awesome. I really care about Shane now, and I wonder what he and Nate are dealing with.

Now, what is Jason up to? How has the mystery past affected him?

Great job. I look forward to chapter seven!

Aw yay! So glad you enjoyed those moments between Brown and the boys. :) I'll admit that this may also be my favorite chapter thus far just because it is the first time getting into Shane's head. I really didn't think of doing so until the piano part came to mind. Then it was, "ooo Shane's head!" lol

Aw, Jason... I miss Jason. Hm...

Totally understand the whole day-being-consumed-by-writing thing.
