Ok, it's mostly a time waster anyway. But I'm curious-- why?

It wasted time, and i didn't feel like I was benefiting much from the many products I was providing Facebook - my eyes and mouse-clicks for ads, my images for computerized identification, demographic information, my status updates, links, notes and messages that would be monetized in other ways.... I was giving a whole lot of information and assets that would be monetized and I didn't feel like I was getting much from it - I wasn't really improving my relationships with my friends through it.

It also started freaking me out when a friend, who had been gaining weight, started getting ads about "losing pregnancy weight".

Also, I'd like to continue to segment my life.

Also, I was freaked out by the constant changes to privacy settings. The change in "groups" policy (in which you can, without consent, add any of your friends to any group you are a part of) was the last straw.
