I am playing M&M! The Magnificent Mountain Lion aka MML also 2050, hehe. He's heavily based on Dick Grayson, actually. ;)
And, yes, those are the basic reasons. The game is not as hard to play as Champions, either in chargen or at the table, and GURPS is not good for superhero stuff IMO. I've also fairly heavily gotten away from the concept of disadvantages being good for a game - I have increasingly come to see them as straightjackets for play. If I want my character to quickly change attitudes or whatever, because of in game events, I won't be wanting to wrestle with his disadvantages to do it. And both Champions and GURPS have disad systems where you have to do that - all characters MUST have lots of disads.
But, yeah, I like M&M a lot. It's the world's greatest superhero game, right? Say it right on the book. ;)

And... you're playing M&M? Cool! I find it a lot less clunky than Champions and a lot less phoned-in than GURPS Supers.
