Yeah, I have to say that nothing he's said has made me more able to rationalize what happened. If anything, I think I hate this book and everything it stands for even more now. Maybe that's a little strong, but it frustrates me that what this series amounts to at the end is a colossal waste of potential on almost every front. Great ideas, but monumentally poor execution all around, and pointless waste of good characters.

I've always liked Troy Denning's writing but I don't think he understands what this book meant to a lot of long-time readers. We were expecting a lot of answers and things finally getting resolved, not just about Jacen and Jaina's confrontation, but about several other characters and situations too.

Now we're cheated out of a lot of storyline with no guarantee that we'll ever know what happened except perhaps with a casual mention or implication in some later book. I can think of at least 7 or 8 questions I had that were never answered. That's very frustrating.
