I smiled at Christian as he entered and Darla left the office. Such a nice distraction on this night. After dealing with Perky and Darla I certainly needed one.

"You're here awfully late. Glad to see you have your work ethic intact."

"Always," I said, amused. I closed the door behind me, walking over to her windows and looking out at the L.A. night. "But you know what they say about all work and no play."

I turned back to look at her.

Smiling as he turned around I went to the blinds looking out into the hallway. Time for a little privacy. Door locked next.

"What is it they say Chris? Makes a lawyer richer?"

Walking now to my mini bar I poured two martinis, hold the olives, before making my way to his side.

"Did you enjoy Carmel?"

Taking the drink she offered me, I took a sip. Perfect. I raised an eyebrow at her, smiling.

"Very, very much so." I caressed her with my tone, hoping to insinuate any manner of things. "It was an amazing weekend."
