Do the White Stripes count as emo music?

No. Well, maybe the new album, but only because it sort of sucks. (Like emo, you see.)

I'd probably call the White Stripes classic 70's Led-Zep style heavy metal, a generous dollop of bluegrass sincerity and down-to-earthness, with just a pinch of that low-fi punk feel.

Do you mean Get Behind Me Satan. I'm liking that one right now. There are strange noises that pop up during it...what's up with that.

I really didn't like Get Behind Me Satan. A couple of the songs are alright, but the album just felt really pretentious.

I hear that. White Blood Cells is a nice album. That dude, Jack White, sure has problems with women.

My manager deems them as emo, and I argued against it. I'm glad the internets proved me right.
