Mustardseed loves me only after she has been fed. Otherwise she tries to gnaw on me, like my fingers were treats. I've had to clean up things so she won't come in my room at night and knock shit all over the place, which is her favorite. But when she sleeps with her face in the pillow, breathing like an accordion, she's the prettiest thing. -
Sexy times
Last night I participated in the Poetry Night Erotic Slam to benefit Planned Parenthood and it was, perhaps, the best time I have had in forever. Christmas--->New Year
Christmas at the folks was splendid this year. I was there for a week. My glasses broke my first night there. I read all of The House of Sand and Fog. For some reason the end of the book made me think about how I'm not a better son.

Stuffed - on Thanksgiving '09
Well, it was certainly a better meal than the one I ate last year in the truck stop in Ellensberg on the way to Spokane. I made garlicky mashed potatoes, spicy cabbage and carrots, and mixed roasted squash and onions. Q made a turkey and delicious apple stuffing. K brought over some candied cranberries. So good. Record Review #2 - The Most Secret Method - get lovely
I bought this record at my favorite record store that ever existed, Sound & Fury, in order to take it for the drive to the Jersey shore many years ago. Record Review #1 - Lucero - The Attic Tapes
A lot of this record sounds the exact same. I like the singing and the backing music, but it feels like a lot of the album could have been made into one long, continuous song. sometimes it makes me relieved to see that they are actually happy people. we are all fans, to the same level, of singing about the things we miss and which have let us down. people who are not my friends, when they sing sad, I have no idea what they mean. -
