Title: Potpourri (6/?)
Pairing(s): DooWoon, (later JunWoon, DongSeob)
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 500+
Summary: He never said, “no,” and because he never said, “no,” they never stopped. Because you never say “no” to hyung.

“You love me, hyung?” Dongwoon asked Junhyung as they lay, undisturbed and alone, in bed in a post-sex atmosphere.

Junhyung’s orbs opened at the peculiar question posed. “Love”? Huh?

Much like a puppy, Dongwoon nuzzled his nose and lips into the elder’s chest, murmuring again, “Do you love me?”

“…..What’re yo-”

“You don’t have to love me, hyung. It’s okay. You don’t have to love me. You don’t have to.” Maybe that would make him stay.

At each statement, Dongwoon’s lips delicately flitted the gentle skin of Jun’s neck. He kissed him and kissed him there…….

“……………………Woon, stop.” Those kisses stung.

The boy lifted his head; his lips parted in wait. His eyes told the eldest he was utterly bewildered. Junhyung could not stand to look the maknae straight in his face. He could not bear it a day, hour, minute more. His conscious, his soul, could not. Every moral piece of him was eroding. He numbed the feeling-oh he was very aware of it happening-but……

….

….

You don’t have to love me, hyung.

….

….

Junhyung could not keep feeding that ideology.

“………Woon, I…” Junhyung shut his eyes and breathed to cleanse himself, “…this… this isn’t right. I can’t keep…….”

The child was puzzled.

“Huh?”

Junhyung gently pushed the boy from his body. He picked up his shirt from the floor; he shook it out and shot an arm through. Dongwoon shook out his mop hair. He peered to Jun through his fringe, sitting up straight.

“…………Hyung?”

Junhyung could not look back upon the other’s bare form.

“We shouldn’ be doin’ this… an’ I know better.”

“Junhyung just what are you saying to me?”

“You should want someone to love you, Dongwoon. Not just take from you. You shouldn’t let anyone take from you. That’s what I’m saying.”

He knew he wasn’t going to love Dongwoon. He swore off love. Yet with each moment with the boy, he felt the cancer trying to grow and coagulate the roads to his heart, but he would not let it. He had to end it. He would not be bruised again.

And, let’s be honest here, Dongwoon was lost and broken. They were lost and broken. Nothing good could come out of their union.

The child blank dumbly in a mess of puke-colored sheets as he watched his hyung flee the room.

His heart folded into a dead chrysalis. He miscarried his butterfly.

I lie a lot. This is the last part for real.

“Potpourri” translates to “rotten pot” in Old French. But it’s naturally dead, dried, decayed flower petals that have a pleasing aroma. You put in both water to make your bath more pleasant. Now you know why I chose that title, I hope. ;;

Um I used the words “boy” and recently “child” for Woon a lot to convey that Dongwoon - despite being a grown man - is a child both mentally and emotionally. He doesn’t know what’s good/bad for him, therefore he’s taken advantage of. Just thought I should explain that, but heck.

Thanks for lending your kind words and dear eyes~ <33
