Good move. I'm thinking of doing the same thing. :)

What I have set up is a system to only show anonymous comments to me, so if I don't like the comments I can delete them, but if they are legitimate I can answer them. But it still doesn't stop anonymous people from posting insults, its just the rest of the world won't know about it. And it doesn't stop anonymous people and non-friends reading my journal, but I don't care about that, I have nothing to hide.

I filter my anonymous posts too. Only had then from one person though, and that was a friendly BLer. I've been lucky enough to miss the whole random insult thing
