You must look at this video of a Lyre bird!
It's amazing and wonderful but also discouraging.

If that was real...OMG that's an incredible bird. (Hearing the car alarm would drive me nuts though!) But it is very discouraging....and very sad.

I wish I could buy acres of land and ocean, that would remain wild and untouched, and I'd pay people to guard them. I've had that idea since I was a kid. Silly I know, but if the wealthy of the world cared enough to pool together, they've got the power to make a difference.

And will someone please introduce BIRTH CONTROL to some of these regions!

Birth control needs to be exercised everywhere! Even here people keep having kids unnecessarily. People everywhere should not be having as many kids, the planet is so overpopulated. People refuse to change their behavior. Which is why the Earth is in a state of ruin. I too wish I could purchase vast parcels of land. People could make a difference if they only cared.

it's more the concept that many children are unnecessary that is needed. as it stands, why would they want to have less kids? there are no social networks to support them in their old age *except* for their children. it doesn't matter that many children will be hard to support and that because there are so many people in their country the government will never be able to subsidize education to a large degree or provide health care for them. once the people realize that they want fewer children, then BC will be useful, but not before.

sorry... I just came back from Indonesia and this is what I saw. People LOVE children. Everyone one wants tonnes of them.

That bird is uncanny. So accurate I was laughing, but so metaphorical.

Where is that photo from? The lines are so vertical.

I am not sure where the photo was taken but I believe Hong Kong. The photographer Fan Ho is very good at capturing lines. I plan on regularly posting more photos from him because I am inspired.
