Good MORNING! This entry is a tad bit late, since this all happened last saturday, but whatevah'!
My crew and I got together (not everyone, but a good portion) on saturday to have an all-day hang-out-super-fun-time-megathon before we went back to our respective cities for school, work and other things. It was an excellent time to end a summer!
We went to this place called the "Gilroy Gardens" thinking it was some kind of lame flower park or something, but it actually had a decent amount of rides you would see at an amusement park, with some nature-y things as well.
The Adventure begins, and our Heroes are more than ready. From left to right its: Niel, Justin, Me, Dee, Cory, and our good friend Eric was taking the picture.
Right outside of the lovely Gilroy Gardens entrance.
Everyone chilling out, trying to hide from the Devil that is the Sun. It was really hot that day!
This was really cool, while we were waiting in line for the spinning garlic ride, we noticed that there were grapes growing right overhead! After the brave Hero Niel ate one and DIDN'T die, he let us know that they were safe. I still did not eat one. XD
I was probably the last thing he ever saw.
This was taken inside what looked like a giant greenhouse. We didn't see any, but apparently hundreds of monarch butterflies also lived in there.
The brave Heroes strap themselves in, in an attempt to defeat the Spinning Mushroom.
There was also a large pond/small lake where you could ride those two-person Swan boat things. We decided to have a race between the six of us to see who was the best Hero of them all.
I had my face of determination on. I was NOT going to lose. (That strapping man in the right hand corner was to be my partner in crime.)
We didn't win.
The victors giving each other a high-five. And yes, Niel is a Red Mage. (not really, he doesnt play Final Fantasy at all XD )
While it was getting close to closing time for Gilroy Gardens, our friend Justin decided to give the mutant tree a hug.
There were more pictures, but I figure this would be enough to summarize our time at the place. Overall, it was good times! We got free tickets, and I don't think I would actually pay to go again, but you know. XD
After the park closed, we retreated to Eric's house for one huge BBQ and relaxed into the evening, a perfect way to end the summer.
