I just heard about "gas strike" it on the radio a few minutes ago. Freedom loving peoples of the country are supposed to stand together on May 15 (or something) and show those evil oil companies what for by not buying gas that day.

Don't participate, that is fucking stupid. BFD, you didn't buy gas that day. Guess what you have to do the day

Doesn't matter if you stop buying gas for a day, or a week, or whatever time. Too much relies on oil right now; someone else will spend the money in your place. Foolish.

Start making noise. Start being a nuisance on a large scale, and maybe they'll start doing something about it. But a gas strike? Idiots.

Stuff like this is usually created by people who have a very poor knowledge of how the international oil industry works. This is really just the same game that's been going on since the beginning of recorded history. It’s just another type of hydraulic despotism but instead of water its oil. Same principal, just updated to keep up with the times.

This is just something that people who otherwise do NOTHING can feel good in participating in.
