To Jerry Butler, wherever you are

I guess I should make one thing clear right off the bat. I mean the porn star, not the singer. I don't know much about the singer. The porn star, though, is always going to be someone kind of special for me. No, not like that, get that one out of your heads right now. I guess he's kind of what you'd call mine and Golumette's mentor and role model, ( Read more... )

I wonder a lot of times, though, where I'd be right now if it weren't for meeting Merry when I did. She did a lot to straighten me out, and I think I've pretty much turned out all right. But I could easily see myself ending up messed up in a lot worse things than porn, that's for damned sure. Porn's got a bad rap, like you said, but in and of itself, it's not that bad. It's always been there, because it's always met a need and filled a niche ( ... )

I've seen both of those, and they were both great fun, as well as surprisingly well done and entertaining, but I thought some things in them were a ways over the top, too, especially since they do seem to be geared for straight couples, on the whole. And I noticed at least one condom in there, too, which was a surprise, but a pretty welcome one. That would be a good way to get that message out to the general public, would be to leave guys with the distinct impression that even the porn stars aren't running risks like that nowadays, nor should you.

Face it, even on the social front, safety really is job one...

Boy, do I ever agree with you about Adam Sandler. I absolutely can't stand that guy, nor do I like his sense of humor. And I have no use for him as a romantic leading man. Not only is he about as funny as an abandoned nutsack, he's got about the sex appeal of one.

I'm surprised, since we all seem to be fans of Jerry Butler, why haven't any of you guys tried inviting him to join us when we all go for that extended multikeg party on Jizmfrbrainz's lawn. Shame on every one of you. And you call yourselves party animals! Hmmph!

I'm shocked and appalled at the whole lot of you gimlihagrid July 30 2009, 18:11:50 UTC
Imagine, admitting to indulging in such things with your wives. Tsk. Tsk.

No, I'm not saying doing it is wrong. It's the admitting it part that I'm having a problem. I mean, decent people just plain don't admit to things like that. Funny, awhile ago I overheard a couple of the guys talking about a movie they'd seen, and EP also overheard them, and had to jump in with his two cents worth. Seems there's a lot of things that you're not supposed to ever look at or think about, says so right in the bible, mmm hmm. Except then not too long after that I overheard him talking to his little brother about a movie him and his wife had seen, that it sounded like he was recommending it ( ... )

What really happened when MT got sent up megadrainbamage July 31 2009, 02:03:26 UTC
I guess I feel a little uncomfortable, like I'm in some way betraying his confidence, since I did promise him I'd never tell anyone else about it. But frankly, I guess that is kind of a moot point now. And after talking to Aimerz and Mixter, both of whom are dying to know the truth, I've decided that the worst thing that could (im)possibly happen would be for him to suddenly show up here, angry at me for breaking my promise, and yell at me like in the good old days. Which would more than make my day, LOL ( ... )

MT's story, continued megadrainbamage July 31 2009, 02:04:15 UTC
MT hadn't actually participated in any of it, just went along for the ride thinking how cool it was, until his friend with the gun decided he'd rather shoot it out than risk letting the cops bring him in, since he had a pretty long rap sheet by then, and since he was 16, he was worried that he could end up being tried as an adult. And MT said that was when it suddenly stopped seeming so cool, when he watched one of his best friends get shot and killed right in front of him. And the other one driving the getaway car, who was 17, tried to run for it, but the cops managed to tackle him and haul him in, and he ended up getting sent to prison ( ... )

Wow. I never would have guessed that, needless to say. He did brief me on the basics of it, that he got sent up for being an accomplice to armed robbery, but he never elaborated or anything. And the way he put it, I got the distinct impression that he was a whole lot more responsible for all of it. I never once got the impression that he ever blamed anyone else but himself. He was always pretty ashamed of it, and gave me the impression that he'd just plain grown up, straightened out and turned over a new leaf. But cripes, in light of everything you've just said, it's a wonder he survived long enough to get sent to juvie at all. And can you even imagine what that would feel like, getting into trouble over what looks like a momentary bad judgment call mostly instigated by his older friends, getting sent up for your first real offense of any kind, getting your ass kicked by a bunch of hardcases while you were in there, then have your own family flat out turn their backs on you and permanently abandon you like that? I mean, crap, he was ( ... )
