Someone was asking for Lego themes a while ago. I was looking through a book my girlfriend has about Route 66 and I kept saying, "ooo, I'd love to make that building out of Legos. It is expensive, but the Town Plan has a pretty good art-deco gas station and a very good art-deco theater (the third building is a bit weak, but has lots of good parts).

I got the Town Plan last year. I dig the gas station and theatre, but there's so much more that could be done in that style. I want more!

Also, what about gangster sets with speakeasies, casinos, and brothels (well, maybe not brothels). kick it back to prohibition era. I concur with everything that has been said thus far.
