So little fabric, such a big decision...

For a costume that has so little fabric to it, it’s really frustrating deciding on colors.

The promo images show a greyish-brown bra with grey boots, which is pretty much the color scheme that appears on screen. (All grey is what the action figures tend to show.) In some of the behind-the-scenes images, however, the bra does look a lot more grey. ( Read more... )

If you want to meet me at work, you can look at the ones I bought. If you like them, and I can confirm that I can get another pair, I'll sell you these. Let me know.

I'd say it is a grayish brown. I think those pantone samples you found online at least give you an idea huh?

I can't remember now if the boots and bra top are the same color (I'm speculating they are?) On my second visit at C4 I found that in my other Pantone guide (for fashion and home) that "Stucco" 16-1412 TPX was the closest... but seemed a tad too light and maybe just a touch too yellow if you were going to get nit picky.

In the Pantone fashion and home guide, the two colors closest to the skirt color were Purple Potion 19-2430 TPX and Amaranth 19-2410 TPX (So my purple potion match from the first trip still holds up!) The lighting at c4 was a little better. My original pantone match to Luke's cloak was way off due to the spot lights they had at the FIDM exhibit.

The silk essence I found very closely matches Purple Potion. :) That's one of the things I love about you: your attention to detail, and your Pantone guides.

Cool! I swear if I were young enough and had the body I'd have to join the Slave Leias (well, I'd want a personal body guard too - hehe).

So I was wondering, where did you find the pantone samples online? I tried typing in the numbers for the uncoated and coated 4 color process and they won't come up at the official pantone web site. I figure the swatches you are finding online are good reference for people if they can't invest in the guides (even though it isn't a substitute for the guides).

For all of those, I just keyed in the number and selected "paper" from here: http://www.pantone.com/pages/pantone/colorfinder.aspx Choosing "cotton" or adding in the letters didn't work for me.
