Larner's such a sweet person and such a fantastic writer!

"The King's Commission" was the first of her stories I read, and remains my favorite--but I also totally love "Lesser Rings". And of her more recent work, "Murder Most Foul" is *brilliant*!

I am so very honored and humbled, Leianora. I wish that my late husband had been here when I wrote some of these stories, and I do hope he would have read them much as you did--hearing Perfect Paul reading The Acceptable Sacrifice would have made my day, I think!

My birthday was very busy, bookended by night shifts at work and with but a short nap during the day. Then I found myself running errands my two days off and being with a friend at the ER for some eight hours or better after he fell on the stairs. Today I finally have time and the cooperation of LJ to go back and read the birthday wishes granted me. Thank you so very, very much! And bless you for your patience as well as your praise.
