I remember in a NPR interview he said, "I don't think.. that I can't.. disagree with my church." That was specifically about contraception; otherwise, Colbert has described himself politically as liberal and Democrat without any clarification like 'pro-life Democrat' that would bring me to think he's pro-life.

(Just like, say, you might not agree with Joss Whedon on *everything* ..and I certainly don't agree with George Lucas on everything. G.K. Chesterton on the other hand... I have never read anything of his where I can flatly say I disagree w/ him. And GKC is more of a genius than Colbert. So there. Er, no rhyme intended!)
