Fucking show I can't stop watching! Ahahahahaha. Story of my lame fiction-loving life. Hey, tell me what happened on TGW that was awesome and cheer me up!
Good Wife spoilers in this commentcentury_foxOctober 28 2013, 14:50:41 UTC
Alicia kicking ass was awesome!!! It is so great to see her taking steps to gain more power for herself and do what makes her happy. And like...while it makes me uncomfortable how much Peter is connected with this because I kind of hate him, lol (I mean, he's an interesting character, but I still don't like him) it makes sense that that's how it is, because Alicia has made the choice to stay with Peter, and support him through his campaign, and that's a decision that is going to stay with her unless she decides to do something differently. What I really want for Alicia above all else is for her to be happy and fulfilled and to make the choices she needs to make for her best interest- and while of course her relationships with Peter and Will are going to affect her choices because people are not isolated and your relationships with other people will always affect your decisions to some extent, I feel like she's really working to do what she needs to do for herself. (I will keep it to this length because otherwise I will ramble way too

Okay wait, Alicia got back together with Peter? I haven't heard a thing about this show since a couple of my friends were super into Alicia and Will a couple years ago, so I am way behind the times. But yay for female power and doing what you need to do. It's so fun when a show you love does something cool that opens up new and nifty character possibilities.
I'll just be over here in a corner sobbing because Carol. This is what I get for EVER loving a character who is a woman. *cries forever*
Lalala I can't hear you (and spoilers for TWD S3)cybertoothtigerOctober 28 2013, 15:47:48 UTC
Haven't watched it yet, but the good news is, I finished S3, so now I'm only 2 eps behind!
I was spoiled like crazy, except I wouldn't let anyone tell me exactly what happened to Andrea. It was both better and worse than I expected. How do they even write someone as messed up as the Governor? And why would people keep following him? IDK.
Karl and the surrender guy! Oy. I must have a discussion with A. about that. I never would have let him watch if I'd known season 3 was going to be like that. Although, what did I expect, right?

Wait, I'm so confused. I thought you watched the premiere! Or is that what you mean -- that you have last week's and this week's to watch? Ugh, prep yourself. The opener was downright fluffy

Yeah, we watched the premiere, but not the last two eps.
I cannot handle watching things as they air anymore. It's pathetic, really, but either I'm on pins and needles, or I completely forget.
I couldn't stand Andrea, so I wasn't sorry to see her go, but damn.
That said, it was the treatment of Glenn, Beth and Andrea that really got to me as far a A. was concerned. It was so creatively sick. OTOH, it makes 24 look tame, so I guess I can watch that with him now, LOL.

Leave it to me to have entirely forgotten the whole mess with Glenn and Maggie. Yes, I certainly wouldn't want to be watching any of that with N, but then again N is so easily scared that he doesn't have any desire to watch zombies. I can't figure out why tv scares him but not video games, but there you have it.
I actually loved Andrea in a lot of ways, although she made many poor life choices, to be sure. It's just that the final sequence with Milton was so ridiculous and OOC. Which is, imho, where we're headed again this season and I'm just like STOP.
I really get way too much anxiety over fake people; it's so ridiculous.
Ahahahahaha, no no no. No congratulations. I mean it in the worst way ever. Last night's ep is still haunting me, and it shows no signs of stopping. I need to never love fictional people, is what we're dealing with here.
LOL, yeah nobody important died in last night's episode. I am just five million miles beyond tired of character assassination of women I love. I hope they can somehow pull it back, but at this point I don't even give it even odds of that happening. And if they can't, she's dead. So, ugh. Ugh is my word for the day. When does GoT come back?
It IS a form of death, because they're killing the version of something that you love. I don't know; I mean I'll have to see what comes up in the next few episodes. It's not that *I* can't be okay with Carol having done what she did, because I'm sure there are ways to explain that could make me okay with it. It's that I worry they're going to do what they always do on this show, which is turn any woman who's strong into an instant lightning rod for stupid decisions and fandom hate, and then kill her. ERGH.
Yeah, I think on GoT it's pretty much a given that a lot of people are going to die. Same with TWD, and I've always known that Carol could get it this season. I just wanted her to have a cool death is all. Meh.
