I'm very much not surprised by the story with the most kudos. For some reason, that story is pretty popular -- probably because it's pretty smutty. I'm glad people like it, even though it's not my favorite thing I've ever written. I always feel kinda anxious about writing infidelity because it's hard for me to empathize or find it sexy, but it's a hugely popular kink. I'm also surprised there are two Bill/Fleur stories in the top five, given how much fandom seems to dislike that pairing.

The top four stories with the most hits are all rated R and above. That really doesn't surprise me. There's a lot of cross-gen, and four of these stories were written for smut-specific communities (samhain_smut, smutty_claus, wizard_love, and hp_humpdrabbles).
I do admit, though, I'm really, really bad at tagging individual kinks. I can tag characters and pairings, communities, and general themes, but I tend to forget to tag specific components (most of the time) that would drive up hits. Oh well, c'est la vie.

The same set of suspects, only the Patil-gen fic breaks the top five. I really, really, really struggled with that one -- I wrote it for rarewomen with the intentions of writing a different fandom. However, I just couldn't make anything else work, so I reverted back to HP. The last Bill/Fleur one is one of my personal favorites -- wrote it as a pinch-hit for bill_ficathon back in its first year of existence, and I just love it.
Also, a special shoutout to another one of my favorites that barely missed the cut -- The Secret at the Grave (Blaise Zabini/Cho Chang, Blaise Zabini/Romilda Vane, written for interhouse_fest a few years ago.
