Good question. I believe that God gave us free-will, a choice to make our own decisions to sway the outcome of events, but I also believe that he pre-destined us. I think it's possible to believe in both of these things because God is infinite, all knowing, and all powerful. I believe he can do what seems to us to be impossible. I believe much of the verses that mention a concept of pre-destination are meant to convey the pleasure and value God sees in us, but at the same time, we can't know His will, so our prayer, choices, etc, change our lives and the world. Blarg. Hope that makes some little sense. My mind is numb. End of busy school day. =}
