2. They both love tacos, and when Ryan's there to consult again, because people seemed to randomly like him the first time around, they hang out in her lab while he has a few minutes and have tacos for lunch. They talk about families and how weird California is.
3. He sees Illyria for the first time and his heart breaks. Gone is the sweet, kind, personable scientist that reminds him a little of Seth. Gone is his taco buddy. He stops consulting for Wolfram and Hart after that, and he stops eating tacos, too.

2. There's grudging respect. Illyria is a machine when it comes to a fight, and Gwen is nothing if not determined.
3. It's when Gwen sees the photos of Fred Burkel, the woman Illyria used to be, that Gwen decides that teaching big blue bitch about humanity might not be such a terrible idea. Her heart breaks a little for the sweet person in the photos, and she promises herself (and the photo, though she'd never admit it) that she won't give up on this.

2. Krum isn't scared of much. But he's fucking scared of Harmony, and spends a lot of time avoiding her when he accompanies a couple of friends to Wolfram and Hart for a hearing.
3. He calls Hermione Granger for the first time in ten years the next day, just to brush up on his vampire lore.

2. Barbara sets up Stephanie and Ginny as roommates and gets the place set up with the latest Wayne Tech security. THey're great for each other, and Barbara loves to hang out with them. It's almost like being a kid again, eating pizza, watching bad movies, painting toenails.
3. Ginny asks Barbara the one question she'd hoped wouldn't come up, and Barbara says no, she doesn't want Ginny to magically fix her paralysis. She can tell Ginny wants to argue; wants to try to convince her. But she keeps her mouth shut.
