GENDER: feline Female
APPEARANCE: Nepeta is a young troll with the grey skin and yellow eyes common to her species. She has short, orange gradient, triangle-shaped horns that resemble cat ears. She has short black that until recently was usually covered by a blue hood with a cat face design on it. She wears a long green trench-coat; under that is a simple black shirt with her symbol (Leo) in the same green as her coat. She wears blue shoes and has a blue tail (presumably not part of her own anatomy, as her dream self has no such tail, and as it is the same blue as her shoes and hat).
PERSONALITY & HOUSE REQUESTS: Nepeta has a playful nature, one of curiosity and general friendliness. She has a special affinity for cats (her sign happens to be that of Leo, the lion), having lived most of her life in the company of her cat lusus, Pounce de Leon. She displays her playful, almost cat-like nature in her speech, slipping in cat puns whenever she can, though sometimes stretching it a bit far so as to lose comprehension. When this catpuns (er, happens), she is quick to make herself clear, seeming to know when it's appropriate and when she's gone too far. She is one of the friendlier trolls, looking to have fun more than to trouble others. She enjoys roleplaying with her friends, and manages to coax most of them into joining in with her even when they may be reluctant to do so.
Having more than a few things in common with her cat lusus, Nepeta is an efficient hunter. She has spent most of her life hunting for her food in an environment where every hunter is just someone else's unsuspecting prey. Therefore, her animal instincts are quite sharp when it comes to stalking prey, or avoiding becoming someone else's meal! Besides needing to catch her own food, Nepeta enjoys adventures in general, and enjoyed questing with her lusus for the Fountain of Cute. She also enjoys making art, and seems skilled at creating things; she knows well how to use her kills in many ways, not just food (i.e. using their fur to cozy up her cave, and mixing their blood with ash to create paints).
Nepeta keeps an extensive shipping wall in her cave that depicts the various types of relationships her friends might engage in. As troll relations can be quite complex, her original wall depicted only the redrom quadrants, and contained every single possible pairing that could occur between them, no matter how impossible some of them might have been. Once in the veil, Nepeta has focused her wall to only pairings that may happen or already have (and the one true pairing which no one must ever s33333333). She is quite interested in the relationships between others, and enjoys discussing feelings with her close friends. Even though sometimes, she may observe a relationship that sinks her favorite ships, she seems to want her friends to have happiness (or whatever qualifies feelings-wise in the blackrom half) in all the quadrants. Therefore, she will hide her own aspirations toward a particular pairing in a certain flush quadrant if she senses that doing so may crush someone else's feelings.
For Nepeta, the house that would fit her best is either Gryffindor or Hufflepuff. Gryffindor is a good first choice for her as she displays an affinity for adventure and is inclined to rash action when her friends are hurt (such as attacking Gamzee after he killed Equius). She also has a self-sacrificing aspect, especially when it comes to her own emotions; she'll hold her own desires back if she believes it will get in the way of her friends' feelings. Hufflepuff fits her as well, in that she is not afraid of working hard (i.e. hunting to feed herself and her lusus). She is also a loyal friend, shown in the way she will ask Equius for purrmission to do certain things, and taking his advice even when it contradicts her initial inclination. However, I would personally like her to be placed in Gryffindor as her first choice, and not only because Leijons belong with other lions.

Her strongest subject will probably be Care of Magical Creatures (as long as she can keep from stalking them and seeing them as prey, that is), being used to observing the habits of other creatures (all the better to hunt them, that is). Art will be her strongest elective, though.
WAND: Nepeta's wand is an 8 2/3" english oak with a unicorn hair and a swishy nature. The english oak is said to work well with those who have courage and strength, and tend toward magic found in the natural world, with creatures and plants and the like, which goes well with what Nepeta is familiar.

THIRD PERSON: Nepeta woke up from her catnap in a bed, blinking at the oddness of the situation. Wasn't she...somewhere else? Then it comes back to her with frightening clarity, and she sits up in the bed, a hiss passing her lips unconsciously. Gamzee had... he had killed... She shakes her head, clearing the image from her mind. If only she had listened to Equius, maybe she wouldn't have seen... And yet if she had, she wouldn't have known at all what happened, may never have known...
But that was neither here nor- wait, where was here anyway? She couldn't be dreaming, Derse was gone and why would she go to sleep at a time like that? It made no sense. But when things didn't make sense, what else could she do but explore and find out? Seeing something at the end of the bed, she eyed it carefully before pouncing on it.
It was a chest, and inside was a letter. And she bared her teeth to think that some cr33py meowgic had pulled her away from her furends at the most impawsibly worst time ever.
