She can open the door

Josie, that is.

Last night she got the bedroomdoor open all by herself (while it was firmly closed) and came annoying me by begging for attention while I was sleeping...5 times.

I hope she won't this night or I'll be a tired wreck by the end of the week.

I don't think you'll be able to UNlearn Josie how to open doors, but there are always possible solutions:

1. barricade the bedroom door (but this will only work if the door opens into the bedroom);
2. change the door handle for a round one, the kind you have to turn (cats can only jump and hang from a handle, letting their weight open it);
3. get used to it.

I did barricade last night with as the only result that I woke up from a cat jumping full force against a door that won't budge. The noise she made was unbelievable.

I'm going to try to smear some of the smelly catstuff on the doors so she won't get too close. Apart from making noise, she also scratches a lot and after 2 weeks I already see clear marks in the paint so when we ever leave there, we'll have to redo the doors.

She'll never stop.
(I'm happy that our cat sleeps outside.)

I wouldn't sleep at all if ours would sleep outside
