I'm so sorry Chris. To me the airlines here in the states just don't give a dam about putting people in those small seats while airlines from out of the country don't have that problem.

All aspects of air transportation are hateful - not just the lack of space for people of size. Got a second seat on my most recent domestic flight - and it was tolerable seating on board. But that didn't make the security any less intrusive, or the distances between check-in and the gate any shorter, or the food any less vile, or the shlep to the airport any less onerous. Fortunately, I can take the Amtrak Acela to the next Convergence in Boston.
