Which is more important: having the security of a house to live in next year with off-street parking only two blocks from campus with two friends I adore thats cheaper than my current place, or losing $1500 - $1905 because the lease would start three months before my current one is up?

How much cheaper is it than your current place? If it will balance out over the course of the year, it may be worth it.

You can always (maybe) consider subletting one of the places as well. If you can find someone who needs a place to stay just for summer, and your lease says you're allowed to, you can have them sublet from you.

Finally, of course, talk to Mom and Dad. =)
