I wish I could say I was sorry that this has happened, but my main honest emotion is simply relief that you are "out of harm's way."
I agree that this is a very sad way to consider Circle Pines. Even in my very brief association, I had begun to see some of what must have made it such a special place to you.
But just as people make the community, people can also keep the best of a failed community alive in their hearts. The best of what was and is Circle Pines is still within you. Think of it like the coals from a sacred fire circle. Keep it safe and warm. You'll find another place to nurture it and one that will nurture you.
I saw the email this morning, i think it was very well written and you said a lot of things that needed to be said. I'm sad it had to happen this way, but hopefully it might bring about some change.
you know, its pathetic now that there will be no one on the board now who really knows whats going on (aside from jude possibly), but i think this was the right descision. cpc keeps taking up your life and not listening to you and just being dumbasses all together. as much as i love circle pines, the board doesn't deserve all that you have given to it.
i hope what with mat leaving, you quitting the board, and the angry letters we've sent that maybe the board will get it through their thick sculls that they are digging cpc deeper and deeper into a hole.
coming back to cpc -- as i told your mom, someday. but i need a break. i wish more than anything that i could have the good parts of cpc without the bad, but it all seems to come together.
Your LJ icon has been the same since I met you. Although your baby picture is cute as hell, it's still wrenching to see it in place of the old one. It is a good replacement, though somewhat ironic considering the more directly applicable symbolic connotations of what is happening.

Leaving a lover, I know I'll find another - I just don't know who yet and that's scary.
Thanks,
