How long has it been? According to my calculation, it's been roughly a hundred and forty days. Almost five months of pointless loitering within this place. One must wonder what kind of amusement the deities of this place derive from inflicting curse upon curse on us.

Or, simply, what they derive at all in keeping us here. If I had known death was ( Read more... )

A lot of people feel the City thrives from negative feelings.

Are you one of those?

...I'm not sure. I would ask the deities, but I don't think they'd answer.

Of course they wouldn't. They seem like the sort one would need to pry answers from.

All of a sudden, you speak so openly. How very unlike you.

It might just be a curse in effect, but I find that it isn't too bad. Your thoughts on the matter, Older Sister?

Isn't it good to know that I still possess the ability to bring genuine amusement to family?

Either way, the deities are a distortion to this place.

A distortion? Elaborate, please.

They constantly inflict confusion and suffering to the citizens of the City. Even if others state the existence of a higher authority than the deities, the fact that they continue to inflict curses shows how twisted they are.

One hundred and forty days... That's a lot, isn't it?

Yes, yes it is, Miss Angelica. Too long, in fact.

No, Miss Angelica. Perhaps dissatisfied with the way things are at the moment, but not lonely.

I am still a rather new arrival at the City, but I do find myself feeling annoyed at the many curses they choose to inflict on us.

The deities need to be dealt with. Unfortunately, it's easier said than done.

Welcome to the city.

And that is true, the idea of dealing with the deities is absolutely something that is easier said than done. It would seem almost impossible if the fact that they have not been dealt with by now is any indication.

There hasn't been an attempt yet? That is almost surprising, considering the sheer amount of hostility that the citizens have towards the deities.

And if any attempt was made, would you participate? An attempt is nothing more but an attempt when mounted by a few idealistic people.
