Er...

Not any more undemocratic than the way the system is now. I don't recall casting my vote of Jean Chretien.

They are just electing the party leader, same way they always do. The only difference between now and any other time is that the current party leader is stepping down before his term of office is complete.

that's what I am objecting to. I don't like the fact that the PM is by default, just the guy who is the head of the party.
