I agree :) But right now actually I have to specialise for my TESOL. My instructor thinks I should teach business or computer/technology english in Hong Kong. Any thoughts?
Those both sound like good choices. I cast my net a little wider and specialized in teaching adults... but if the market is there, of those two I think I would choose business. I think it has a broader application, which is what you are probably aiming for.
well, I wasn't crazy about Hong Kong... but I was only there for 3 or 4 days, and I was pretty obsessed about getting my Taiwanese visa. HK felt too western, too business, too intense and I wasn't into that at the time. There is lots of English everywhere, and foreigners from all over. There are even foreign children, which seemed odd coming from Taiwan (outside of Taipei). I also found that it was quite expensive. Granted, I stayed with a friend of a friend in the Midlevels, which is a pretty ritzy part of HK - I did like the Kowloon side better, and the little islands even more. Although I hear that it is becoming "more Chinese" every year since the handover, it's a very international kinda place
