last night the woman who runs the laundromat called me a liar because I told her that one of the dryers didn't work. I was entirely polite. I mean, she's the attendant, shouldn't she want to know? I confess, sometimes when I'm in a shitty mood, I feel a bit better for letting loose with a couple of well-directed oaths... but usually someone else has to start it.
In fact, I love being rude to rude people by being EXCESSIVELY polite and speaking quietly to people who are shouting... they get all embarassed, heh heh heh...

just practice the "I'm flummoxed and flabberghasted at your behaviour" stare and useit often.

... it all started off so reasonably. And the first thing we asked was whether we were bothering her. I mean give me a break, it's *your* bloody laundromat, don't you want to know... ach. nevermind.

I admit, sometimes I like swearing too. Especially after exams. I am perfecting my French cursing abilities - one of my pet peeves is the way that English has become the universal swearing language.
