"if the other side is going to advance their point of view, it's only fair for the Christian perspective to present their view, too."----however while one side is doing it to advocate peace and understanding the other side is purposely instigating more violence *sigh*

Coming from a Christian upbringing, I can tell you that it is the not their contempt for the homosexual masses, but their lack of knowledge. I believe you are correct in saying that "they haven't lived it." But, as a former Christian who happened to fall into that catagory, I would say that not once did I feel hated by the Christian masses or that I was in danger of verbal or physical violence becuase of my sexual orientation. Those who do drive the blade into the victim are NOT TRUE FOLLOWERS OF THEIR OWN FAITH AND ARE AT BEST HYPOCRITES FOR CLAIMING THEIR WAYS ARE CORRECT EVEN THOUGH THEY DO NOT FOLLOW THEM. Which leaves me to believe that one does not have the right to damage another without understanding, just as it would be wrong for a homosexual to hate a Christian because they think that Christianity will brutalize them. I am baptized Christian and I love Julie dearly. I committed acts of love, although frowned upon by my faith, and they still accepted me with arms wide open.
