My favorite part of American culture? Thrift stores! You can't go wrong...everything is cheap, the money always goes to a good cause, and if you get tired of the clothes you bought you just re-donate them. (Of course there is the argument that you're still indirectly depending on sweat shop clothes even if you buy at thrift stores...but at least corperations aren't getting any money out of it).
I haven't really done my share of research in this area, but I am becoming more conscious of the companies I support and choose not to support. If you have any suggestions as to which companies are fair trade and which companies aren't, I'd be happy to hear them.
