i caught the mouse that's been living with us for a while now, and i made him my pet. i shall call him klaus. klaus, the house mouse.

oh likewise, for sure. they're too light! and they jump everywhere - you can hardly play with them. the only reason i'm keeping this one (or trying to) is because i don't want to kill it (by traps, pesticides, etc.) or set it free (cause it's freezing, and it will die outside, too). so i figured keeping it would be the next best thing (/only option left?). however, little klausi made a run for it overnight and escaped :(

hehe... Yeah, those little guys can squeez through just about anything. Even rats are amazingly supple creatures. I'd bet he'll be back, though. Those guys tend to stick to their home habitats, especially when its cold outside.
Thanks. Your rodent's name was too close to a certain seasonal personage to be coincidence, and that song popped into my head.
