I picked up my parents' Bible tonight and read what passages compelled me. I felt most drawn to the gospels, so I stuck pretty much to those. I saw familiar titles and recognized names and parables. Nine years of Catholic school were not entirely lost on me

Thanks for your input, Julie! It has gotten so many thoughts turning in my head I will have a hard time expressing them without babbling. It is good to know how Christians (and Catholics) are perceived by people who are not Christians. While I have placed my trust in the God of the bible and I believe he is good, loving, just, etc, I don't have much to say in defense of Christians who do a poor job demonstrating Jesus' love
