Happy Pi Day!
And Happy Birthday to trimmje!
Yesterday was simply Frabjous!
Mom came into town, so we gathered up some of the usual suspects for Tea. In Silly Hats. Yes, that's a gold fire lizard on Mom's hat. And (back left) samguss in the suessian number, hearthwitch being the Southern Belle, martinhesselius with a silly cord on an otherwise normal hat and myself in a pseudo Mad Hatter hat. (If I'd been thinking I would have posed so you could have seen the tag reading "In this style 10/6.") B. (far left) had no hat so we made her the Cheshire Cat instead. You can see her working on disappearing here with that grin... :P
She also brought some lovely loose teas that gave me an excuse to play with my Chinese tea set. It was really delicious tea too (the cherry rose is my favorite so far). In the picture though I'm holding one of the set of teacups my Grandmother gave me at some point. With no saucers... but that's okay since my daily stoneware has saucers but no teacups. 0_o
And then we went to see the new Alice in Wonderland movie. It doesn't adhere to the books, well, pretty much at all but I thought it was terribly cute nonetheless. Plus there are a number of direct quotes and other references that had Carroll fans like myself giggling uncontrollably. ^_^
