Holey Moley. I have been busy!! wooooosh. Check it out if you want to!
So, Friday night, it was the Snowball Dance .....wow!!! What fun!!!! I'd say it was the best set up yet. For the most part, the music went pretty smoothly for using a computer and stuff. The decorations looked awesome (it was all me, ya know. ;) ) And I LOVED wearing that dress!!! Ooh...I was pretty. lol, or at least I tried. I had a total blast! And besides my feet majorly hurting afterwards, everything went awesomely. Great music, great atmostphere, lots of people, yummy food, and cool pictures and things! OOH!!! And I won an award from the las dance!! Ekks!! At the 80s dance, *yours truely* got the award for Best Female Drummer!! ~that's right!~ muahahaha! Got a cool little framey thingy with my pictures and stuff. Man, did *I* look hot at that 80s dance. (insert The Face here.)
Saturday was intense. I woke up EARLY for a Saturday morning and I went shopping. I shopped and I shopped and I shopped til my arms were about to fall off. I tried to do alllllll of my Christmas shopping on Saturday. I did A lot of it, but not all. But I'm pleased with my finds. *nods* I'm a good shopper. :D Very excited about Christmas! Go me go!
Saturday night was the Cantata of course. I thought it went really really well. I got several compliments on my songs and such, so that's always cool to hear. I love the Cantata. Love it!
Sunday was a sleep in day. Ahh...gotta love those. Went to church like normal and stuff. Took Mle and Lisa home for some quick dinner, and then was back for the Cantata. I was in it for every single song except 3! Wow....lol. That's kind of funny. But I think I did pretty well. With the Stake choir, and Concert Choir, and Vocal jazz, and Combined Choir, and Vj ensemble, while playing violin and singing, and doing sign language and descants...I was certainly a busy girl! I was all over the stage!! I got *many* compliments that night...left right and centre! It was really awesome. I love to perform and share my talents. Especially to bring the Christmas Spirit. I love it! Go Cantata go!
Monday was dove day. Oh man. Doves doves doves. ha! Only my school geeks would understand me here. You see, for a Student Council project that I'm heading up, called the Winter Daze (12 school days in December) there has been some type of activity going on in the school. Many different things and stuff, but Doves were scheduled for Tuesday morning. So Monday after school, I was there putting up doves in the quad. Me, along with some helpers, cut out 1400 dove shapes from white paper and printed every single student and staffs' name on the dove. Then we strung them together and put them high on the wall in the main concourse of the school. We were there pretty late putting them up. Anyways, Tuesday morning, we get to school and it looks incredible! Every student is looking up at the doves searching for their name. It just makes you feel special to see your name up there. Very cool. We also have a sign that says "Release the Peace at EC" near them. It's just to have the idea of peace at this time of year. It's been a lot of work, but it's so worth it. I love seeing the students reactions!
Last night, Tuesday, was our band concert at the bell centre. I was there right after school, then again at 7. I was in the Concert choir (singing and playing the violin), combined choir (more singing and some sign language and descants), vocal jazz (singing there too!), jazz band (pianoness) and concert band (timpani and percussion). I was again very busy last night, changing outfits really quickly and stuff. I was pro! ;) lol....It was a very awesome concert. And at the end, the 5 of us girls ("EC Does It", our jazz quintet) jumped to the front of the stage and closed the concert with our jazzy selection of Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas (also sung at Cantata) It was really awesome. My mom said it was the best she's ever heard us perform it. Sweet!! OOH!! And Emerson came!! Woot!!! It was so exciting to see him there! Aaaaannnd he brought his mommy and daddy. Aww!! How sweet! I gave him a tour of the Bell Centre, since he'd never been there before, and introduced him to all my friends and such too. He was in band withdrawl the whole night. Pah! Too funny. Love it. hehe. :D
Today, I got to be secretary for the afternoon. Boy was it scary! The secretaries asked the Prez, and 2 Vice Prezs (me!) of the school to be a substitute while they had a special lunch for them. I was assigned front desk. YIKES!! lol. I had to watch the front window (where all students come to get bandaids or icepacks, or get excuse forms, or phone home sick, or yadda yadda yadda) PLUS answer the switchboard phone thingy!! Eeks! Every call that came to the school, I had to answer with "Hello. Ever Creek Secondary school. Student speaking. How may I help you?" and either transfer them to a teacher voicemail or take a message or yadda yadda yadda. Woosh! It was busy! And I was only there for like an hour! I was planning on doing some hw or Ljing or something, but I didn't get a chance very much. It was a busy place.
And now, I am home. Getting all prepared for my students' recital tonight. EEks!! More scaryness! I hope they all do well tonight. I also invited Emo and his students to play with us too, so we'll have a great turnout. Feel free to come if you'd like to! 7pm at the Stake Centre! Tonight!! Woot! Come check it out...it shall be great!
Anyways, better get back to doing some more work. There's my weekend and such in a nutshell. Ooh...got an email from Kevin and a letter from Kiki today. The tree is finally up, and Jeremy brings gifts tonight!!! WooT!!!!!!!!! So excited! Lots to do! Lots to do!! See ya later!
