Chapter 4 (On AO3 and FFNet)Another... two and a half years, another chapter. The bad news is that it's admittedly a little rough, after so long. I'm a bit rusty. The good news is that I have a solid plan for the next two chapters and have started Chapter 5 already. Hopefully I'll be back to my regular 10K a chapter

I'm a fan of your stargate stories but I should expect that after nearly 15 years, the completion of the arc in Bushido/Shidachi/Uchitachi is pretty much nil at this point huh? I always wondered if maybe Daniel's colleagues at the dig site would be 'read' into the project but kept on Earth so they could spot any potential threat's to Project Bluebook's secrecy.

I'm glad I'm not the only writer though trying to get back on that big back of a horse after a few years hiatus. Then there's the aspect of writing what you wrote so many years ago and cringing af to what your brain was meshing. XD

People might shoot me for this but I didn't read the author notes till the end which I felt was actually a good ending despite the NID still being out there. Daniel found his center and his place among his family and friends. It kind of resembles life where not everything is tied up in a neat little bow. You could edit the chapters that mention the story to be a 3 story plot line and remove any mention of Uchitachi, leaving the two stories up there. I did that for one of my own stories.

Though after coming back from so long, I need to figure out the import function on the new version of FFN.

I was zooming with my friends and we all realized that we could now count our friendship that started in college in decades. We were all blown away. XD

Yes, FFN does need new figuring out. Honestly, I'm barely active at all there anymore, stories are difficult to read as the content has been... almost overtaken by ads. Soon I'll probably leave, but that's a problem for another day.

And haha yes my college friends and I had that same revelation recently, especially when we looked around and saw spouses, kids... throws the mind for a loop!

And honestly I like no author's notes. the only reason they're even in there is because I was doing what everyone else was doing in terms of formatting as I tried to figure FFN out. Now that I'm more secure in my own writing product, I hate them in other people's works. They really throw you out of the flow of a story when you're reading it all in one clip and not checking in for the episode of the week, as it were. But they are likely stuck on FFN to stay, as an artifact of a bygone era, lol.
