The trick is to balance the money thing with the service thing. Contrary to popular belief, God doesn't want us to be poor just because we live a life of service. He meets our needs. Sometimes it's not quite the way we would have, but it all works out eventually.
(Oh, and by the way...as for your mother and money...how did you afford to go to Christian schools and a Christian college? Do you have a clue what the bottom line for that was? How is it you have a large variety of clothes, a large collection of music, and a notebook computer to rant from? It's easy to talk the talk...but if you got rid of the things that you didn't personally pay for...where would you be? Convicted. She wants what she thinks is best for you. That's always her motivation. Just like God. But we don't always agree with either of 'em.)
You know Em, you still have a lot of growing up to do. Here you are ranting and raving on this stupid blog and not having the guts to stand up to your own family and tell them what is going on and what you really think. You just get quiet and not talk. You know we do find out what is going on because of your "blog" and others do to that we know. And let me tell you this- we are your family that you keep dissing over and over again... especially mom. You are lucky that mom cares for you so much and that she wants the best for you even though you guys might not agree on the same things. I told her tonight to cut off all money for you to go to school if you don't think that money isn't that important. Maybe we should do that to you and see where you end up, because sure you can get student loans, but then your job will consume your life (just what you don't want) to pay off those student loans. Mom goes to work and works so long and hard just so you can go to school. Maybe instead of constantly dissing her and complaining about
