I've never understood why the Doctor likes humans so much, but this sentence goes a long way to explaining it. It's absolutely beautiful and the wording of it is perfect for him. I actually stopped reading for a few seconds because that sentence took my breath away.

Also, I put off reading this chapter for a day so no cliffhanger for me! HAHA! I'll read as soon as I post this comment, so I don't know what's happened yet. And if you've killed Donna... : (
