Oh, wow. I'm not very familiar with Dare Wright's work, though I did read an article on The Lonely Doll some time ago & was fascinated. I think I may have to read this book, though!

I really enjoyed reading this! (Though, to be honest, I haven't read it since I was in high school.) I remember being really interested in the way that Dare seemed to use herself as an object in her own work -- the doll she photographed was custom made and modeled to look like her and later on she illustrated fairy tale type books with photographs of herself.

It's a pretty quick read, I bet you could knock it out during a boring, snowy Sunday.
