Her art is fantastic! Thanks for posting this. Also, I will most certainly be reserving this book from the library. I was tickled when I saw that FLB has a story in it & realized you hadn't namechecked her.

Hey now! I totally mentioned her when I posted about this on tumblr! I haven't gotten to her story yet (I've read about the first 15), but my expectations are HIGH.

I must've missed the tumblr shout out! Ugh, lately when I think of FLB I remember reading some short story of hers called "Blood Oranges" transcribed onto some fan site in, like, eighth or ninth grade and realizing that she was just recycling crap that she had used in The Hanged Man. I was VERY disappointed! I'm always so tempted to read Psyche in a Dress and her other more recent works, "just because", but my hopes aren't quite so high.

I've read some of her more recent stuff (The Waters and the Wild, published in 2009 is probably the most recent one that I've read), but haven't been able to convince myself to read the three novels that came after that (Pretty Dead, The Frenzy, and House of Dolls.) The Waters and the Wild was just so bad.

Wow thanks for sharing! Love the ghostly, see-thru quality of her work.

Me too, there's something whispy, but a little sinister, too, about her drawings that I love.

Thanks for commenting & I'm glad that you like the artwork!
