In two days I have gotten two calls. One was last night while we were going to get my grandma from the airport, from a local grassroots organization who wants to register voters. The one today was from the Kerry/Edwards campaign, asking if I would be in charge of my precinct for the 9 week kick off campaign. I am so excited, I said "absolutely ( Read more... )

That is SO cool! I would absolutely die if I got a chance to meet Kerry. He's giving me faith in this country again. Do you know what kinds of things you get to do for the campaign?

That is what the meeting on Tuesday is for. I don't know exactly what being in charge of my precinct entails, but I am so looking forward to finding out what I get to do. I wanted to volunteer, but I'm sort of anti going door to door.... so we'll see. I'll do just about anything though at this point.

He must be a good guy or Bush would not fight him so hard..
I would have wanted to see Clinton.

The Finnish presidents are more down to earth. Mauno Koivisto, our ex president, walks in Helsinki alone without any bodyguards. Tarja Halonen keeps getting great ideas like sitting in a cafe in a market place with just a few people with her, and the bodyguards are all casual and not the serious looking ones you see on tv.

Bush would fight anyone hard. Because that is his only offense is a good defense. Its just the way it has to be, sadly.

I think that's great, what a different every country has.
