I know this year was strange as it was, and I'm fairly happy to put it away and have it become nothing more than four numbers strung together, while we're looking at the flipping of a ( Read more... )

I read around 22 books this year. Something like that. I'm proud. But you're still my inspiration. :)

I think I only read 46. It wasn't a competition with myself this year like other years. I see people who read hundreds and I wonder how exactly they find time!

And you should be proud! What was your favorite book of this year?

I don't know how many books I read this year...quite a bit. But my all time favorite of this year was The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. Have you read it?? If not, go out and buy it now!!!! I cannot believe how amazing this book is!

I think my friend has it, and will loan it to me. She recommended it too. Thank you!

Thanks for making a list! I am looking for new things to read. Too bad the libraries here dont have much money to get new books. :(

Well, you're added to my friend's list for my book journal right? That's always a pretty good list to go by. I just like the year end lists :)

That is very, very sad!!

Just wanted to drop you a line to let you know that I'd added you back. I had to when I saw my favorite Anne Sexton poem on your user info page.

Oh, and I love Ann Patchett, too. I just got her memoir Truth & Beauty and can't wait to read it. Have you read The Patron Saint of Liars? I think that's my favorite novel by her.

Yes, its on my favorites list. She has become one of my favorite authors. The Patron Saint Of Liars is tied with Bel Canto for me. Or with The Magician's Assistant for that matter. I love all three. I'm anxious to hear how you like Truth And Beauty...as I will, of course, have to pick it up sometime.

Thanks! Nice to meet you!
