Still alive. Just not on LJ. (And I bet you thought those two sentences were mutually exclusive.)

Working a day job and a night job (violining) for most of the past month. Stupid roster person at work didn't give me any days off.

Tiredtiredtired.

Can't write whole. Sentences.

Apparently.

Have had to correct typos 6 times already.

Bed now.

I know what that is like. Nice to hear from you. Take it easy when you can.

Yay for life beyond the internet. \o/ But sad that it is all only stressful. Hope your schedule leaves you more recharging time soon.

The crazy thing is that after April (the end of our peak tourist season), work will probably take a nosedive very, very quickly and I'll be all, "Why is there nothing to do?" Hah.

Anyway, you'll be pleased to know that I haven't deserted fandom completely; I have a batch of icons half made (points to icon) and I'm participating in trekreversebang... which I might post more about later. *is secretive*

Oooh, a very pretty icon! *stares* And you're in trekreversebang? That is so cool and very good news indeed. \o/ Let's start a countdown to the beginning of May, then. ;-)

Getting a little more money is always good in this economy though not if it exhausts you to the point of zombieness. Hope things even out soon and you can have some free time.

I work in tourism, which is very much a seasonal business - and this is our peak season. We were expecting a quieter season than usual (in view of the economy) and we intentionally kept the staffing levels a bit lower because of that, but the tourists have come in droves. That's great for the company, but harrowing on the staff.

There is an end in sight, though. April 30th marks the end of our busy season, and my workload will nearly halve.

The orchestral work at night is an added complication, and I do feel a bit zombie-like after a day of work and a night of more work, but it's not a full-time arrangement, thankfully. I hope to be back to regular LJ-ing soon. :-)

No days off in a month? That'd be illegal here unless you're doing it voluntarily. Yikes! Get some rest, girl. Hope this is not a permament thing.

Nah, that'd be illegal here, too. I have had days off from my main job, but the orchestra I do part time work for seemed to know exactly when I was off and would schedule a rehearsal. The roster guy at work didn't help by making people work 8 or 9 days in a row, plus we've been busy and short-staffed, so I've only had one lunch break (Monday of last week -- yes, I remember it specifically) since some time in January. And, yes, that's also illegal.

It's not permanent. Things should get quieter next month, and pretty near dead the month after that. *waits*

*hugs back* Things'll get quieter as winter approaches - and then I'll wonder what to do with myself (catching up on a month and a half of LJ for a start). Hah.

That could take a while... it is the silly season for us as stock take and end of the financial year kicks in.
