No, really - please!

People!

I honestly do not need more copies of The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Really. One for dad to read to me from and one for me to chew on. That's enough.

Ah, you eat it - you're a growing boy.

Or put it in the VCR. Dad will pretend he's not happy but secretly he loves when you do that stuff.

No solid food in the den! Besides, the VCR and DVD are set well back in the unit, away from small grasping lemur_hands.

happy birthday, kiddo!

O is currently more into closing the book in mid-read and looking at the cover as if to say 'What's this called again? Oh yeah, Snap Snap Buzz Buzz'.

Personally, I'm wondering what the heck is going on in that painting on the wall in Goodnight Moon.

That's a very small lemur, even if I do say so myself!

Might I recommend The Very Busy Spider?  I got it for my niece on the occasion of her first birthday, 3rd December last year.  She likes it a lot.
